Making live online sessions feel human
Cameras on isn’t the answer. Here’s how our instructors design live sessions that feel warm, focused and genuinely interactive.

Live sessions are the heart of every Lyceum course, and we spend a lot of time designing them. The goal is simple: people should leave feeling seen and a little further along.
We start every session with a two-minute check-in question that has nothing to do with the topic. It sounds small, but it changes the energy of the whole evening.
Instructors talk for no more than fifteen minutes at a time. After that, learners work in breakout pairs or share their screens for quick feedback.
We record sessions, but we design for the people who show up. Recordings are a safety net, not the main experience.
And we always end with a clear next step — what to try before the next session and where to ask for help. Momentum is the real curriculum.
